Church wounds and the beautiful message The Bible has...

The Bible is our direct connection to God. There are so many lies that exist in Christian circles, in churches, and in misrepresentation of these books. The enemy likes to set up inside the church. To know what the Lord is teaching us, we have more than the words of those around us. We have the voice of God in written form.

If you're looking to connect with God this year, I highly suggest the yearly bible plan by The Bible Recap. It is a great way to learn more about who God is through daily scripture reading and reflections.

So how do you start, where do you start? I believe in praying before opening the Bible.

I start by asking God for forgiveness of anything that is weighing me down, I pray for God to open my heart and to show me what He has for me today. I thank Him for the time that I am getting to spend with Him and then I start reading.  It can be with the plan I mentioned above, but it can also be any chapter and any verse. I would suggest the New Testament or the Psalms if this is your first venture into the bible and your not planning to read the whole Bible.

How do you interact with The Bible?

"The elder, To the lady chosen by God and to her children, whom I love in the truth—and not I only, but also all who know the truth-- because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love."   2 John 1:1-3
